Recently, the FCC has been trying to kill net neutrality, a move which I cannot agree with. The concept stretches farther than the net - it's about treating some people better than others based on wealth and power. No one is intrinsically better than anyone else. No one deserves more rights or power than anyone else. And it's even more ridiculous to say that people with more money are better than other people - they're completely unrelated, besides ridiculous, metrics. The Internet is possibly the resource with the most potential to be free - information, rather than needing to be evenly distributed, can easily be given to everyone. Trying to give some people this valuable, ever-more-important resource faster or better is like only letting white people learn to read. It's wrong to try to do this, and it shouldn't be getting as far as it is. For a longer rant on why the Internet must be free, feel free to read my post on... (Read full post)
Sorry, I didn't blog last week, but that's because i was in New York City! When Ludum Dare is over, I'll be able to get some time to edit all my pictures from there and I'll post them here. Until then!
Yeah! Psyched for Ludum Dare in 3 hours! Indigo Engine 200 could not have come at a worse time. Anyway, I'll figure out that problem and we'll see what I can do! I'll post my submission here so you guys can all play it. Enjoy!
You may have noticed that there are now various ads on Cosine Gaming. If this disappoints you, I am sorry. Go download Adblock. Because for me, this is an important step. For the first few years, I've been dedicated to putting this website up, making it look great, and providing nice content for it. I've been having a lot of fun, don't get me wrong! However, ads are going to be my only source of revenue until I release some games worthy of payment. I'm quite excited about this opportunity, so deal with it. Even though I'm a communist, in this country I've gotta make a living (not actually, since I have plenty of wealth getting handed down to me, but I might as well prepare for the future).
On my previous iPage ads, I only would make money when someone actually made a conversion (bought a subscription to iPage), so I wasn't making anything. However, these ads are Pay Per Click. Hopefully I'll make more money with... (Read full post)
The compressed, powerful fires below the ground burn intensely, illuminating the small engine room in a bright, burning red light. Small optic tubes carry the light into each room in the house, illuminating it with a soft, natural-looking light even in nighttime. The fire crackles powerfully and loud, but in a soothing biological pattern. But the purpose of the fires is upward. A small ladder-climb above lies a gigantic canister surrounding the room filled completely with water. Pipes thread from gigantic water and ballast tanks under the floor being pumped by large turning windmills within each pipe. They thread water to the huge canister, keeping it under control and fairly cool, but the fires below are too fast for it to keep up. Going around the large canister, a monsoon of energy thrusts its way upward ferociously. At the top of the canister, water boils off at incomprehensible speeds constantly, and rises...
