Bounce Rates and CG Improvements

So I've been working on improving Cosine Gaming to work on decreasing my bounce rate. A bounce rate is the rate of people who take a look at your page and go, "Hell with this s***," leaving without exploring your site, clicking a link, or doing anything you want them to do. Basically, they're not interested, it's not what they're looking for, or they're afraid of your website. All of which are things I don't want. So I've been trying to decrease my bounce rates, and get people interacting and engaged with my site.

The bad thing about this, though, is that we just don't know why people act, and what they think. So I've improved my survey page, and I'm hoping to drive more traffic to it. If you'd like, go ahead and throw some feedback at it. Hopefully better understanding what people think about Cosine Gaming and why will help us to improve.

The first thing I've done in this ongoing plan is to switch from text-only links to flashy images about my games. Hopefully this will get more people interested. Also, I've been trying to get people to feel more secure about my website, so I've added some more tips on why they get security warnings, and I'm trying to make the site look more friendly, and assure people we don't give viruses. (Which we don't. Why should we? Also, we have ads. That's our revenue model. We don't need to scam you. We're an indy game company trying to make some cool games for fun. Ok?)

We also need to drive more traffic to our site, though, in order to get more data and more interactions. Unfortunately, my ad campaigns have never been too productive, and I'm not making enough money to buy them anyway. I'm planning on being more active on social networks in order to help drive traffic. It's not like we don't have high google level for cosine gaming, or even cosign gaming, (A "Did you Mean;" not exactly a "Showing Results for," but not bad either.) we just don't have people looking for us. Our games aren't getting out there. So my goal for that is to make some more games, some cooler games, and work more on new games that hit rather than improving games no one sees. Indigo Engine is going to be great for that. (So Code Indigo and Frost. So excited for those, and I can even already play them. But they won't be out for a while, even for beta. I can't even get IE to export games reliably yet.)

So yeah, that's our plan, thank you for being so engaged and not being a bouncer (:D). You can help us our by giving us some feedback, or just playing some games! As always, have fun.
